TILT Brass is a Brooklyn-based new music organization dedicated to expanding the world of contemporary brass repertoire by producing innovative concert programs, recording projects, and commissioning initiatives. Formed in 2003, TILT Brass has presented the work of more than 50 composers, including group members, local colleagues, and established masters. Bringing together the brightest stars in New York City’s brass community in configurations ranging from solo to chamber ensemble (SIXtet) to experimental brass orchestra (Creative Brass Band), TILT serves as an innovative presenter, educator, and advocate for new brass music.
